The year 2020 was an extraordinary one. Facing the uncertainties in the internal and external environment, GTCOM Shaanxi pursued integration and innovation, launching a digital urban brain platform to accelerate the development of urban digital industry.

The digital urban brain platform is an urban data-analysis and management platform designed for megacities as well as supermarket enterprises, transportation stations and large communities in the city. It performs real-time analysis and integration of data from the different dimensions generated during urban management based on the basic management unit and station distribution, thus ensuring accurate analysis, decision-making and coordinated command for the urban area. The platform has been put into operation in the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee and the People's Government of Shaanxi Province, the CPC Xi'an Municipal Committee and Xi'an Municipal Government, the Xi'an COVID-19 Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters, and other government agencies.

Public Health and Disease-Control Service

COVID-19 prevention and control are the responsibility of everyone in society. Accordingly, during the Spring Festival holiday period GTCOM Shaanxi set up an "anti-pandemic working group" upon receiving the pandemic prevention and control requirements from the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee and the People's Government of Shaanxi Province. Then, based on those instructions, it employed science and technology to fulfill the task of fighting COVID-19. During the period, GTCOM Shaanxi also provided support for the release of multilingual pandemic information on the "Shaanxi in Your Palm" media platform, thus providing an effective guarantee and support for the prevention of imported COVID-19 cases. The effort was recognized by the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee and the People's Government of Shaanxi Province.

Intelligent disease-control information collection and analysis system

In March 2020, GTCOM Shaanxi engaged in the battle against COVID-19 with its big-data technology, cooperating with China Telecom Corporation Limited Xi'an Branch to develop the city's "One Code Pass" pandemic prevention and control command platform. The application of the One Code Pass platform has provided strong support for scientific pandemic prevention and control, precise policy implementation, and the resumption of production and work. Based on the cooperation of the One Code Pass platform, GTCOM Shaanxi and China Telecom Xi'an Branch have reached the consensus on strategic cooperation in many fields, collaborated in the promotion of digital urban upgrading and the development of emerging industries, and demonstrated the cooperation concept of "symbiosis, integration and co-creation" as well as the responsibilities incumbent upon technology companies as corporate citizens. Appropriately, in January of 2021 GTCOM Shaanxi was honored with the designation "Diamond Partner of 2020" by China Telecom Xi'an Branch.

Digital Sports Operational Decision-Making Service

In November 2020, as the partner to suppliers for the 2020 Xi'an Marathon, GTCOM Shaanxi developed the digital urban brain sports event solution based on big data, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, natural language processing and other new-generation technologies in addition to the digital urban brain platform applications. The company developed products such as the big-data analysis platform and digital sports platform for 2020 Xi'an Marathon to ensure trouble-free operation.

Digital Urban Brain Integrated Service

GTCOM Shaanxi's proposal for the development of the digital urban brain integrated service platform was, in November of 2020, approved by the Administrative Approval and Government Service Bureau of Qinhan New City, Xixian New Area, Shaanxi Province.

In January 2021, GTCOM Shaanxi convened the 2020 annual summary meeting. Vice President Xia Jianjun of GTCOM, General Manager Wang Chongzheng of GTCOM Shaanxi, Deputy General Managers Li Junhua and Zhang Xinchen, and all other staff members attended the meeting.

GTCOM Shaanxi is now in its fifth year. The company will continue to implement the Party building leadership throughout the whole process and in all aspects of its business development, closely follow the strategic development objectives of GTCOM, and innovatively push forward the product-line arrangement and structural adjustment. Additionally, it will promote optimization of the digital urban brain platform based on big data and artificial intelligence while striving toward superior development with enhanced efficiency.
